I am dedicating this album to you, Brantley Joseph, the most recent and by far one of the more precious
additions to my world
By the time you read and understand this, the 80's will be a mere memory But to say the least if was an
interesting time for me. At a point in my career when taking chances was not the wisest thing to do, I look
quit a few. There seemed to be an upheaval in the church, one of apathy and secular heartedness. Marriages
were falling apart, some Christians appeared to be chasing dreams as opposed fo answering ther call from
God and the needs of God's childnen were greater than ever. It was a difficult yet wonderful time. A time when
those who were not committed and accountabe were getting out, and those who were committed were being
called to be more so. As usual, I wrote my songs based on the way I felt and felt as I wrote.
I hope, for you, that you sense the value of seeking God and knowing His peace. But when its over, all
things said and done, its up to you how you live this life and what you find.
