Code enforcement is a function performed by local governments that is used to protect property values and the environment. Some may look at code enforcement as an intrusion to the use of their private property, when in fact, it is a tool to ensure the quality of life in the community.
The purpose of the CFCEA is:
1. To increase Central Florida networking and coordination efforts among fellow professionals.
2. To aggressively attack problem cases, ordinances, and personnel issues we deal with daily.
3. To create standard educational tools that would be beneficial to Central Florida citizens.
4. To assist the Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) with their goals; commit to publishing an article in the Interface newsletter.
5. To be a working organization creating solutions.
6. To improve service and quality of life for citizens within Central Florida.
7. To improve the prestige of Code Enforcement Officials by the promotion of higher standards of education and efficiency in the administration and application of environmental laws.
8. To provide professional assistance and technical advice to governmental agencies in the promulgation and administration of environmental laws.
