About Us
In January 2002 a group of collectors interested
in collecting Casino Memorabilia from the South decided to come together
and organize. A lot of us were already members of the International
Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club Inc. (CCGTCC).
But we wanted something closer to home. And with that the Deep
South Chip Collectors Club was born.
What do we collect? Easy.
Anything Casino related! Examples would be casino chips, silver
strikes, tokens, matchbooks, room/slot cards, swizzle sticks, postcards,
slot glass, etc. And don't let the name of our Club fool
you. Just because we are located in the South does not mean we
limit our collection to the South. Our collections contain casino items from all over
the world.
So why organize a Club outside of the
(CCGTCC). Currently the International Club gets
together once a year for the Annual Convention in Las Vegas. As
active collectors once a year for a get together just wasn't enough.
And with the South being the third largest market in the gaming
industry, casino's are constantly leaving and entering the
market. With those openings and closings we felt it was our
responsibility to track and keep our fellow collectors informed. With
the medium of the Internet, we can always keep in
touch with each other and pass on needed
information. And with that our site was born.
What can you expect at our Club
Meetings? The latest Casino news. Educational forums. Trade
sessions that last for hours. But most of all, the camaraderie.
The meeting of friends and fellow collectors who share the same passion
for the hobby that you do. You will never meet a nicer bunch of
people. So if you are in the area, stop by. Come say hello
and find out what we are all about! We meet every quarter and
