Note: Mary R. J. McCoy was the first child of William & Emily McCoy. She was born the year after they arrived in Mississippi from Laurens Co., South Carolina. She died at three months of age and was buried in Cherry Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherry Creek, Pontotoc Co., Mississippi.
