Some of these stories have been published in The Hounds Collection. The Hounds of the Internet is a mailing list for fans of Sherlock Holmes. Since 1996, Australian Bill Barnes has polled the members of the Hounds for contributions to an annual anthology. I'm proud that he has chosen to include my contributions for all four years, even if I didn't get paid for them
My Holmes stories are based on the notion that what we call "fictional" characters inhabit and alternate reality, and sometimes they cross paths. Here you will find Holmes and Watson interacting with characters introduced by everyone from Thomas Hardy to Gilbert and Sullivan.
I must of course express my gratitude to the spirit of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle -- soldier, statesman, man of letters and the Last Renaissance Man. Without his storyteller's genius the world would be a poorer and dimmer place.
