4. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
    Existing 20'6" x 126' store building to be altered into sales room, sewing room and service and repair room; install standard front, Neon sign; approx. 1900 sq. ft. Lin. tile; move existing stairway to basement to new location; install 12 new light fixtures; place new 6' x 20' 6" loading platform at rear of building.

5. ESTIMATED COST OF PROJECT
    COST OF STRUCTURES, INCLUDING FIXTURES AND BUILDING SERVICE:   $4,000.

6. PROPOSED SCHEDULE
    DAYS BETWEEN RECEIPT OF AUTHORIZATION AND START OF CONSTRUCTION:   5
    DAYS FROM START OF CONSTRUCTION TO COMPLETION:   45

7. PROPOSED USE OF PROJECT
    Sales and service of sewing machines; also instructions in sewing to patrons and general public. This service is extended to Trinidad and surrounding locality.

8. JUSTIFICATION FOR THE PROJECT
    a. State in detail the need for the project, giving the relationship of the production or service to the Veterans Emergency Housing Program to other essential civilian needs, or to public health and safety.
    Store needed to give essential service in the repair and servicing of sewing machines for individual schools and institutions; also for the instruction of regular classes of pupils in home sewing, many of whom are wives of veterans.

    b. State the specific reasons the project cannot be deferred at this time.
    Space was contracted for before present building restrictions put in. Delay in starting work was caused by inability to obtain possession from former occupant.

    c. Give any other factors in support of this application.
    This store would serve the southern portion of the state. At the present time only very inadequate service can be given in this areas as we have no store south of Pueblo.
