Postscript file to print Valentino Rossi's "Racing 46" stickers

Number 46!

I couldn't find any files to print stickers, and I think it's stupid to pay $10 to have a sticker printed and shipped to me from England, when I can print as many as I want at the size I want on my own printer. And I'm sure all those places have merchandising permission... uh huh. At least I'm not making money from this.

Right-click HERE and choose "Save Link Target As" in your browser to download the file.

I wanted something to offset the creepy and nasty NASCAR dead guy Dale Ernhardt stickers that all the rednecks have around here.

Q: How can you tell the difference between a NASCAR fan and a MotoGP fan?

A: The motorcycle fans can tell if their favorite racer is dead or not.

I eyeballed this from a picture of the front of the blue M1 and wrote the Postscript by hand from scratch. I've since noticed that the sticker on his laptop, the front of the yellow M1, and the artwork in a few other places are all slightly different from each other. This'll do good enough for me.

It's written in Postscript (which is a vector format) so that it will nicely scale to any size you want without jaggies. You can't do that with a raster/bitmap format. It's also a standard format so you can take it to a print shop if you want a REALLY nice sticker. The GIF above was generated from the Postscript, and I've also printed it out on legal-size paper and it looks good.

Printing it out:

Since I use Linux, I either send it direct to my printer (which understands Postscript), or I use the GIMP to interactively size it.

You're on your own with Windows, as I don't use that. I tried GIMP for Windows but I couldn't get it working. I think Adobe Photoshop and Paintshop Pro can deal with Postscript.
