Dear Commissioner _____(Name)________: As an area resident who regularly uses ___(street)________ for access to/from my home, I oppose the placement of speed bumps on such a well-used road. These bumps are a hazard for emergency rescue vehicles and disabled individuals and they cause driver irritation, frustration, road rage, vehicular damage, increased gas consumption, pollution and hurt real estate sales. They are NOT negotiable at 25 mph -- all cars must stop and slowly roll over each one in succession. This is unfair and punishing to the hundreds of people who are law abiding drivers and taxpayers. Seminole County is using our precious tax dollars to destroy our own roads. Alternate routes available are a several-mile detour. We shouldn't have to tolerate this nuisance. We wonder how you would feel if these bumps were in your residential neighborhood. Please advise me regarding Seminole County's plans to reevaluate this situation and when we can expect some relief from this poor planning. Thank you.
