M-26 Pershing

Tamiya 1/16th scale kit with S&T figures

 

I very rarely build Allied armor, but I had an opportunity to build up a 1/16th scale Tamiya M-26 Pershing. The model was provided by the client without the RC parts and was built as a static display. It was pretty straight forward, and I added only the brush guards from Schumo Kits and the magnificent figures from S&T. The models was painted with Tamiya acrylics and finished with oils and MMP powders. The markings were dry transfers from Verlinden and the kit's decals. I also added a bit of grafitti with colored pencils. Gear is a mixture of the kit parts, some resin gear and tissue paper bedrolls. I added ammo from the Verlinden 50 cal. MG, but the MG itself are the Tamiya parts.

This model now resides in a private collection.
