The President of Egypt is in a dilemma. You see, deep in the heart of Egypt, in the long forgotten city of Mzabwa, world famous archaeologist, Dr. Doug N. Deep has discovered what he believes to be the ancient burial site of Pharaoh Leevme-Lohn, who is believed to be a predecessor to King Tut! Dr. Deep believes that the mummy could be the key to understanding ancient Egyptians and their culture. He also stands to gain international fame, hence fortune, if he can secure a permit that will allow him to continue the dig and unearth the mummy.

Soon word of this fantastic find got out, and people from all over Egypt began to arrive at the dig site, but not all for the same reasons. The first to arrive at the site was Egypt’s Minister of National Antiquities (MONA). MONA is dedicated not only to the preservation of national ancient sites, but also to preventing all foreigners from getting ahold of anything that could be of value to the country. In the past, too many relics and artifacts have been whisked away right under the collective noses of MONA and taken to distant lands. MONA intends to do all it can to make sure that never happens again. It’s a matter of national pride, as well as financial gain.

The arrival of MONA was followed closely by that of the curator of the Museum of Egyptian Relics (MER). The curator recognizes the incredible educational value of such an historic find. Additionally, she can earn a huge raise, as well as a promotion to the position of Curator of the National Museum of Egypt, if she can convince the President to award possession of the mummy to MER for a period of one year.

Not far behind the others was the arrival of the head of a watchdog group called Egyptians for the Preservation of Ancient History (EPAH). Members of this group are direct descendants of Pharaoh. EPAH’s only purpose is to try and prevent scientists from disturbing the ancient burial mound. Besides being sacred ground to the EPAHs, legend claims that opening the mummy's sarcophagus will cause a curse to be cast over all of Egypt!

How would you advise the President of Egypt regarding the excavation of Pharaoh? To which person or group should the President grant custody of the mummy, thereby determining its fate? You and your group must make this tough decision on behalf of all the citizens in Egypt.

Do your best…. the entire world is awaiting your decision!
