The School of Leaders will resume on Saturday, February 12th at St. Stephen's, Winter Springs in the Conference Center (same location as in the past).
Mass is available at 8:30 AM in the Chapel for those who wish to participate in the celebration of Eucharist. Coffee and snacks will be available at 9:00 AM with the session beginning promptly at 9:30 and ending at 11:30 AM. Social gathering until 12 noon for those who wish to linger.

The School of Leaders met this past Saturday in the first session of the New Year. Those present engaged in a fairly spirited discussion relating to the selection and preparation of candidates, candidate eligibility, and a few other issues about sponsoring. What was determined is that there is a major need to EDUCATE the ranks on the Role and Responsibility of Sponsors. In the past many sponsors are trying to take an easy road in the duties of properly informing and preparing the candidates for the Cursillo Movement (note the mention of Movement and not just the weekend). With the Holy Spirit as our support we feel we need to do a better job in this process. As such we are planning to use the next few months at the School on the topic of Sponsor Education. The Cursillo Movement is heading in a positive direction. Some exciting changes from the national level will be forthcoming.
The future of our movement depends on informed men and women who are willing to learn, teach, inspire, and lead others toward the continued accomplishment of the church's mission. The invitation to attend the School of Leaders is an open one. The future of the movement depends on YOU, not just those who volunteer their time to serve as Ultreya Coordinators or as Secretariat members. Christ is Counting on You.

Remember that the next session of the School is Saturday, February 14, 2004 at St. Stephen's in Winter Springs. The meeting room will be in the conference center which is in the very rear building on the property. Look for signs as you walk between the buildings from the rear parking lot. The School is designed to be spiritual and technical nourishment for those who are called to be leaders within the Cursillo movement as well as for those who wish to learn more about the movement (all three phases, Pre-Cursillo, Cursillo, Post-Cursillo) and to grow within the movement. We must remember that the mission of Cursillo aligns itself with the mission of the Church. We are called to evangelize our environments. That is the mission of the Church…to spread the Good News. The School is an excellent opportunity to grow as Church leaders, to refine our skills as apostles, and to learn how to effectively live out the purpose, strategy, and method of the Cursillo Movement within the Church. The School is an integral facet of the Authentic Cursillo Movement. The effectiveness, the vibrancy, and the success of the movement depend on committed, enthusiastic, spiritually formed and knowledgeable leaders. You are strongly encouraged to come. The only way you will know if it is for you is to experience what is being offered. Be challenged to “come and see” for yourself.
Please come and join us each month as we explore our movement as it relates to the Church. Remember the statement from the Laity Talk: "I am the Church...You are the Church...We are the Church." The Cursillo movement was and is designed to carry out the mission of the Church....to bring Jesus Christ to the world.
