1811: Colonial Mail, Panama was part of New Granada, Red Straigh Line h.s. on folded letter to Seņor Don Miguel Pizano, Lima (Peru) m.s. "4 1/2" rate, FINE strike, June 19, 1811, delivered by "Paquebot Carmen". There are 10 known PANAMA frankings before 1811, 2 in 1777 being the earliest known, the others are 1788, 1792, 1798, 1800, 1807, 1808, 1808, 1809, 1811, 1811, 1813, 1816, 1816, 1816, 1818, 1819, 1820, 1820 and 1820 twenty-one in total these are the only PANAMA recorded to date, for the Colonial Mail period.

There are 16 known PANAMA frankings before 1818, 2 in 1777 being the earliest known, the others are 1788, 1792, 1798, 1800, 1807, 1808, 1808, 1809, 1811, 1811, 1813, 1816, 1816, 1816, 1818, 1819, 1820, 1820 and 1820 twenty-one in total these are the only PANAMA recorded to date, for the Colonial Mail period.
