Dennis Helms was born in Bermerton, Washington. His is of Polish descent, which may or may not
explain a lot of things. He moved across the four corners of the United States with his family,
while his father was in the US Navy. Finally settling in Florida, he now resides with his wife in
the small central Florida town of Rockledge.
Growing up was uneventful for Dennis. He had his average experiences as a youth. He graduated
from Cocoa High School and then went on to receive an Associates Degree in Computer Programming
after a five-year stint in the US Army. While in the service he met and married his beautiful wife
Margaret. Writing was in the picture even then, for you see they were pen pals while Dennis was
serving in S. Vietnam.
Together they had two children, Dennis Jr. and LaShanda. They are now grown and have children
of their own. Dennis Sr. and Margaret are doting grandparents of five beautiful grandchildren.
In 1984 Dennis joined Royal Rangers a boys ministry sometimes called Christian Boy Scouts.
They do everything the Boy Scouts do only the center their activities around the Church. After
a year or so Dennis was initiated into an organization called FCF which stands for the Frontiersman
Camping Fellowship. He picked as his trade frontier cooking and yarn spinning, which means story
telling; well the rest is history. He started writing then and hasn’t quit since. I hope you enjoy
