HOLOCAUST COURSE EVALUATION FORM
Thanks to the Valencia Foundation and Abe and Tess Wise of the Holocaust Education Center for the Endowed Chair in Holocaust Studies that has been awarded to me twice.. This award enabled me to travel with the Jewish Labor Committee and a group of fellow educators from across the USA to visit and study at various Holocaust sites, concentration camps, former ghettos in Poland and The Czech Republic as well as Israel's Holocaust Memorial and Study Center at Yad Vashem and the Ghetto Fighter's House. In addition it enabled me to attend and graduate from The International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem during the Summer of 2008. These trips have enhanced my background and skills and will bring more knowledge to my students in my course "Multimedia-Literature of the Holocaust". I am eternally grateful for these opportunities to grow as a Holocaust educator.

Approved New Jersey Department of Education Professional Development Provider
After a successful and highly effective career as a New Jersey Public School educator for 25 years, I have moved on to the college level. This new phase of my career allows me to have an integral part in Developmental Education on the college level. In August 19, 2003, I proudly joined the faculty of Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida (repeatedly cited as one of the top community colleges in the nation), as a Professor of Reading on their East Campus.
My passion for education has enabled me to enjoy the experience of involvement on many educational levels: elementary school, middle school, as well as in Basic Reading Skills at the community college level. I have also conducted public seminars for private corporations; many of them on a repeat basis. I have served as an educational consultant and workshop presenter, conducting my well-received series of teacher workshops on implementing Middle School Holocaust Studies, as well as presenting workshops on Holocaust curriculum implementation, and on technology integration in the elementary and middle school classroom, an area I have been involved in for over 20 years. Over the years I have been a part time adjunct Reading Specialist at Camden County Community and Mercer County Community College in New Jersey. The following is an abbreviated list of degrees, credentials, areas of expertise, and experiences.
Feel free to contact me at any time in order to analyze and focus on your area's particular needs.
