Tampa Bait & Tackle Co. Lures

Tampa Bait & Tackle Co., Tampa, FL

Tampa Bait & Tackle Co. made four different lures. The first was the Angle Frog. It is believed to be the forerunner of the Dalton Special. It is a top water lure that resembled a frog laying on its side with one eye underwater and one on top. The second is a darter style lure called the Tampa Two Thousand. The third and fourth are smaller darter style lures. The Seahopper had a lead belly weight screwed to it and the Seatroll did not. The Angle Frog and Tampa Two Thousand are copied from the earlier Dazzy Vance lures.
