Christopher Columbus 'Lum' Pleasants, born 6 January 1862, Lynchburg, VA, the seventh child of Joseph H. Pleasants and Isabell Pocahontas Perdue of Lynchburg, VA, married Elvira Susan Grubbs on 2 June 1886, worked in his brother Joseph's bakery, farmed the land, had 11 children, and died 30 November 1958 - just 36 hours after his wife died. There was a very large double funeral.
Elvira Susan Grubbs Pleasants was born 3 March 1871 in Lynchburg, VA and died 28 November 1958.
