Notes:
- "R" after the frequency indicates the repeater output frequency. The repeater input
frequencies are 5 MHz higher.
- LTR Trunk Systems do not have a dedicated control channel like other trunk systems.
- When a user initiates a call, the unit scans the system for a clear channel before it transmits.
- These systems are used by taxi's, pest control, wreckers, repairmen etc.
- Individual users do not need a separate license, only the system owner needs a license.
- The only way of finding out who is using these systems is by monitoring them.
- See the Central Florida 400 MHz LTR Trunked Systems for talkgroup information
for the above LTR Trunked Systems.
PORTABLE BUSINESS & GMRS RADIOS
The following frequencies are used by licensed portable radios (walkie talkies).
They are used by stores (Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, etc.), schools, land survey crews, fast food
restaurants, road construction etc. Most radios do not show the frequency on them but are
marked with a colored dot or star. These portables are 5 watts or less and have a very short
range. 151.625, 154.57 and 154.60 are the most active, but all are worth checking, since you
will never know what you may hear.
