A "virtual" 3-D landscape viewer for Talonsoft's BATTLEGROUND games and NiR Project Group add-on scenarios.

DESCRIPTION
BGViewer uses BATTLEGROUND scenario "main.map", "main1.bmp" and "jump1.bmp" files to generate a 3D landscape for "virtual" viewing. Once the terrain view is rendered as a screen image, it can be saved as an *.bmp graphic file. The output images from BGViewer can serve many uses:
  • tactical planning of games
  • terrain & LOS analysis
  • coordinate maneuvers & objectives with pbem partners
  • after-action reports
  • further editing, annotation & printing by most paint programs
  • conduct "virtual" tours of scenario battlefields
  • create visual aids for tutorials & training
  • study & illustrate actual historical battles
  • convert to .jpg or .gif format for web graphics
  • etc...
  • The BGViewer is not a map editor, it does not create map files for scenarios! Also, you do not need to install any BATTLEGROUND games to use the BGViewer. Just have BGViewer open & read the *.map files directly from the game CD.
