Site
under major re-construction! Will be all new by mid-January 2003
- please bookmark and return,,,,,
Thanks
for stopping by The Beach and welcome to Lorraine Sutton's Home
Page. There are many interesting dunes for you to explore. About
Me will give you a glimpse of my education and background.
The
Picture Gallery contains some of my favorite images of
life here at the beach in Florida. Resources & Links contains
a listing of all of the links that appear on various other pages
on this site.
A
very important button on this site takes you to the Ataxia
Page. I have spinocerebellar degeneration (or ataxia) - SCA6,
a neurodegenerative disease that destroys the cerebellum (a part
of the brain critical to balance and coordination, among other
things). I am a small part of a world-wide effort to raise awareness
of this condition. Please take some time to visit this page for
important research and support links, my coping strategies, and
writing that I have done on the topic.
While
I am currently an adjunct professor of psychology at the University
of Central Florida, my ultimate goal is to write. Please
stop by Other Stuff for some samples of essays that I've
been working on.
Welcome and thanks for
your visit. I hope that you will return to the beach again soon.............
