If you would like to contribute information to this data base of prewar Gibson serial numbers just send me an email with your information, critisisms, corrections or suggestions.  To send an email to my address just click here.

If you are contributing a Gibson banjo number and description, please include the following information:
 

• Original Neck     (PB, TB, MB, RB, PT, etc.)
• Complete Serial Number
• Original Tonering     (40-hole Archtop, Flathead, Ball-Bearing)
• Type of Flange     (1-piece, 2-piece, ribbon, etc)
• Original Style of Inlay     (Style 3, Hearts and Flowers, Flying Eagle, etc)
• Date of Manufacture as you know it and the source of this information.
• Any special, or unusual features you would like to note.   (such as special inlay, zinc tension hoop, etc.)

• Optionally, I would appreciate any  information on ownership, date of purchase and price that you are willing to share.   This information will be keep confidential and if it is something you would rather not provide...that's fine, too.
