Ultrawoman Beth

Ultrawoman Beth Ultrawoman Beth (the name is used loosely, as she was only called "Beth," even in her Ultra-form) was one of three Ultra-heroes sent to Earth from the planet Ultarra, to combat a race of Sorkan monsters newly arrived on Earth. Ultrawoman merged with one of the three "Flying Angels," the pilot Lt. Beth O'Brian. For full details about the storyline that introduced this Ultra-hero, read the blurb on Ultraman Chuck. For information about the third member of this "Ultra-Force," see the information about Ultraman Scott.

Ultrawoman Beth (also called simply "Ultrawoman" in some references) possessed the standard Specium Beam-style energy beam, emitted from crossed hands. She also had the unique power to project a powerful beam from her clasped hands. In order to produce this beam, she floated above a body of water, activated a nimbus of energy around her that gathered a vortex of water around her, and then directed the resulting water-energy combination at her target. The beam produced various destructive results, ranging from severing the limb of the powerful New Mexico Sorkan to dissolving the living plant monster in Louisiana. Like the other members of the Ultra-Force, Ultrawoman Beth could communicate telepathically with the others and the support ship.

This Ultra-Force was never officially connected with the majority of the Ultra-mythos, although live stage shows in Japan have featured these three (obviously in costumes made from the drawings) along with the rest of the Ultraman family.

The Japanese transliteration of Ultrawoman Beth's name is Besu.
