Sleestack at his lightest color...

Gold eyes and a neon green chest...

Young Sleestack (Land of the Lost) is a spunky male purchased in Feb. 1999 from a local pet store where the iguanas were layered on top of each other like so many lobsters in the supermarket. He was older than your usual pet store baby-maybe 1 year--and was the most unusual looking & lively one of the bunch.

Proving to be quite a handful since day 1, he ran under some cabinetry & behind the water heater, forcing us to move our stove & tear up our kitchen. We called him "Hyde" then as he would either wrestle away from us & hide or play dead & become completely poseable.

Because he was replacing the iguana love of my life, SALVADOR, who recently died, I began to regret my impulsive scaly purchase in the beginning. Over time, he has calmed considerably & won me over with his youthful charm.
Hiding behind the towel rack...

Sleestack , AKA Evil Keneval, is quite the stunt iguana-jumping & flinging himself all over the house & straight into many a wall or inanimate object, thus all hopes for the modeling circuit are dashed--dashed apart like his once lovely horn & mouth. I still think he is a cutie, just a little rough around the edges!
